I just added permalinks to the comments.<\/p>\n

There’s a bunch of tutorials out there, but I forgot to bookmark them, so, like an idiot, I had to do it from scratch.<\/p>\n

Here’s what I did:
\nIn your Comment Listing Template<\/b>…<\/p>\n

  • First you need to make an Anchor<\/b> for each comment entry. Find where it says:\n

    <$MTCommentBody$><\/b><\/p>\n

    And change it to:
    \n<a name=”<$MTCommentID pad=”1″$>”><\/a><\/p>\n

    <$MTCommentBody$> <\/b><\/li>\n

  • Next, make the permalink<\/b>. For the sake of argument, I put it at the end of the comment, after the date (<$MTCommentDate$><\/b>). You can put it anywhere you want. The code for the permalink is:\n

    <a href=”<$MTCGIPath$>mt-comments.cgi?entry_id=<$MTEntryID$>#<$MTCommentID pad=”1″$>”>Link<\/a><\/b><\/li>\n

    For example, when Jennifer<\/a> announced her new domain: Link<\/a><\/p>\n
