{"id":759,"date":"2003-08-29T14:52:28","date_gmt":"2003-08-29T17:52:28","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.ericbrooks.com\/whuzzup\/?p=759"},"modified":"2011-06-04T14:07:32","modified_gmt":"2011-06-04T19:07:32","slug":"pocono-happenings","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ericbrooks.com\/whuzzup\/pocono-happenings\/","title":{"rendered":"Pocono Happenings"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Yes, you may envy me now&#8230; tomorrow is the annual Pocono Garlic Festival here in downtown Stroudsburg (again, I ask&#8230; is there an &#8220;uptown&#8221; Stroudsburg???)<\/p>\n<p>Come on&#8230; I whine, complain, and make fun of this festival every year&#8230;<br \/>\n&#8230;where have you people been?<br \/>\n<!--more--><br \/>\nWell, a major reason for subjecting my supernatural self around dangerous levels of garlic would be to pick up the &#8220;Reasons for Christmas CD&#8221; (Christmas *IS* less than four months FROM now, you know&#8230;).<\/p>\n<p>Performed by local musicians, and the proceeds go to <strong>PATH<\/strong>, an organization which helps to provide transitional housing to those in need.<\/p>\n<p>Such stuff is considered &#8220;tres kewl&#8221; here.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ll be reviewing it over the weekend at the Pennsylvania Music Awards site.<\/p>\n<p>(Notice the kind words FROM State Rep. Kelly Lewis on the site? He&#8217;s gonna be President one day. Mark my words.
