SOS San Francisco: A Case Study for Collective Visual Brainstorming

This article details the creative process used to develop the graphics for SOS San Francisco, a group of creatives and community leaders resisting cultural displacement in the city of SanFrancisco. Displacements  continued with the internment of Japanese Americans during WWII,  the clearing of vibrant African American districts shortly after the war, and then in an ongoing series of ?Tech Bubbles? that systematically forced out more and more people who lived and worked in the city. A number of cities around the world are coping with similar waves of speculative developers transforming working communities into gated luxury developments, and replacing essential local businesses into shuttered offices. But unless this most earthquake-cursed of U.S. cities experiences a social shift of seismic proportions, the current development boom may end up erasing the last vestiges of San Francisco’s famed cultural diversity and creativity. SUPERHEROSTUFF Product Spotlight: BATMAN v SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE Signal Silhouette T-ShirtWe had so much fun with our Top 10  gift ideas last year that we've decided to make it a weekly feature here at ComicBookMovie.com! This month, the CBM team will be highlighting one item WE want from SuperHeroStuff.com's awesome range of comic book movie related products, and I've decided to focus on this incredible Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice t-shirt. Now, I'm 100% Team Batman, but the great thing about this one is that it doesn't matter which hero you're rooting for as it perfectly represents them both. You just know The Dark Knight is down there challenging the Man of Steel to a fight, while the sight of Superman gearing up for war by getting his heat vision ready to blast is just downright awesome. Make no mistake about it, I'll be wearing this come March 25th..

From Comic Book MovieFAN ART: Real Life "Bad Guys" Reimagined As Comic Book Supervillains:

FAN ART: Real Life

Says the artist..

“This series is an experiment where a dictator, a psycho, a murderer (sometimes they are the whole package) or even a suspicious figure from real life is mashed with a comics bad guy – strangely related some way or the other with his counterpart.

The depressing thing? Realizing that if the comic book supervillains were actually the ones threatening real life, the world wouldn’t be such a bad place.”
