Premiere Just Changed Video Editing

Premiere 26.5 came out in September, and it’s one of the biggest AI updates Premiere has had. You can now generate video and sound effects right in your timeline, using Adobe Firefly or partner models like Google Veo, Kling and Luma. Paper edit builds a sequence from the lines you highlight in a transcript. Object Mask gets a soft-edge slider.
I go through what actually shipped and what’s still only in the Premiere Beta app. Then there’s the hardware news for 27.0 that matters if you’re on an older machine. At the end I explain how I bill for generated shots and why the time these tools save should stay in your margin.
So tell me in the comments: have you generated a shot for a client yet? And did you charge for it?
