Starting Tuesday, I re-emerge back into the workforce (don’t expect me to even mention it any more online, as many aspects of my life are now staying private.)
Finally bit the bullet and bought The DaVinci Code today. I’ve heard so much about it…. I’ll post a review when I’m done, k?
Update: : 1:39PM. Just finished the book. WOW.
Recommended reading if you’re a history buff/intellectual/conspiracy theorist (or all of the above)….
Best of luck at ya new job and have a great hiatus!!! Hope everything works out for you!!! *warm hugz* (a friendly hug *smiles innocently*)
Good luck with the new job, e!
Gaw, The DaVinci Code is definitely one of the best books I’ve read in a LONG time. I guess I should put the sappy romantic fluff down more often!
I’ll miss you!
Hey, it looks like you have done over the site a bit since I last stopped by… Mad Bull like!
I have the Da Vinci Code sitting on my bedside table for at least a month now… I am going to read it too… I’ll try to start it this weekend.
Make sure you also read his “Demons and Angels”. It’s actually a prelude to “The Da Vinci Code”. Brown’s other novel “Deception Point” is good, but doesn’t even compare to the other two. I hope they don’t screw up the movie, but they usually do.
I imagine the story of The DaVinci Code is entertaining, but I flipped through my wife’s library copy today and the writing isn’t anything (pardon the pun) to write home about.
For example:
“He allowed himself a rare smile.”
Redundant! Argh!
Yeah, can you tell I’ve been reading up on the craft of fiction writing?
As soon as the time comes for me to get back into your site, you go and take a break.
