Three days after the mass shooting at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas, Steven McCraw, director of the Texas Department of Public Safety, admitted that law enforcement made several missteps when trying to stop the gunman.
Senator Chuck Schumer, Democrat of New York and the majority leader, said the legislation put forward in response to the mass shooting in Buffalo, would have strengthened the government's efforts to combat domestic terrorism.
Javier Cazares, whose 9-year-old daughter was killed in the massacre at Robb Elementary School, expressed his frustration with law enforcement's response to the shooting. 'A lot more could have been prevented,' he said.
