Xmas Party!!!

Carole & I had a wonderful time tonight at the Reis Homes Christmas Party, held at the Hideaway Hills Country Club.

Highlights:

  • The food was excellent!
  • Carole & I met (and were re-aquanted with) a lot of contacts… as we had no idea the Gressers and the Brooks’ traveled in such similar social circles…
  • I look so damn good in an Italian double-breasted suit! :0)

Also: Some good news was sitting in my Inbox this evening, and it looks like I will be gainfully employed at a great place by the beginning of the year!

So long, Year 2000… without a doubt, the worst year of my life!

#%$&ing Netscape!!!!

It only took 4 days, and a new keyboard to figure out why this page kept crashing in Netscape 4.piece-of-crap.

Now that you can read this… here’s some advice:

UPGRADE TO 6.0 YOU MORONS!!!

I’ve gotta admit… despite my original thoughts on the matter, I’m actually impressed with NN6. It’s support of standards and CSS will now enable the 4 or 5 whackos still using Netscape to see the web the way the rest of us have for the past two years.

Enough for me to switch? Hell no.

Thanks to Patti for bringing this to my attention, and all her help in resolving this.

wow.

It appears I’ve succeeded where the Adorable Brookskidz have failed for almost two years:

WRECK A NO-SPILL KEYBOARD!!!!

Amaze your friends by following these easy, step-by-step instructions:

  • Have a pile of junk on your desk (meticulously balanced) topple off a shelf, and knock your full glass of iced tea all over your (so-called) “No-Spill-Guaranteed®” keyboard.
  • Scream “OH SHIT! OH SHIT!!! OH SHIT!!!!” and lift the keyboard up in the air and shake all of the liquid out (so it can spread all over the circuitry reeeeal good!).
  • (This is VERY important!) Do NOT turn off your computer!!!! Continue working until you hear a sound like “PFFT!!!” come out (while smoke is unlikely, that’s an added bonus.)… THEN decide something needs to be done….

My next “Morons Anonymous” meeting is Wednesday at 7:30 PM… they’re gonna be SOOOOOOO PROUD OF ME!!!!

Packed with clip art, craft tips, games… if you somehow manage to get through everything that site has to offer, you can send personalized letters for all occasions at her other site, All Letters.Com… a definite site worth bookmarking to return around the Holidays for the kids (Don’t worry, I’ll remind you… Actually, I’m reminding you NOW!!!).
  • DaVinci Graphics Gallery – It’s been said that DaVinci knows more about Adobe Photoshop than the folks who’ve designed it. Best known for designing the logo for The Phrozen Crew site, I’ve gotta say, DaVinci is my design idol!!!! Packed with high-resolution graphics in this portfolio, may take a while to load… but definitely worth it!!!! Tons of great tutorials to make you a PhotoShop Master in no time!
  • Stephanie Schaff’s Kick-Ass Website – Another sweet soul who has signed my guestbook. Features her family, an ode to a really lucky guy, and great photos from her trip to Rome for World Youth Day 2000. Check ’em out!

  • Just as I vowed that you would never know who the President was, until I returned from my latest crisishiatus… you’ll never see WHUZZUP! in English again, until Patti tells me what the heck “i miei amici favoriti del blog ” means, and in what language.

MiScHiEf of the week: You know where it says ” – Microsoft Internet Explorer” waaaay up top in your toolbar? Well, I altered my Windows registry and changed it to

“Eric Brooks is SO DAMN CUTE!!!”…

Moi? I’ve always been a jerk, so that was never a problem. But the fact is, *I* have spent very little time online since the end of October (The full story coming to a SoApBoX near you real soon).

Lately I have been very involved in Do It Right Construction: Writing proposals, going on sales, making TurboCad drawings for permits, watching the Britney Spears nipple video, and playing Carole’s attorney and business partner (since obviously neither of them were worth a shit). See you all real soon & if you wrote me recently, expect a reply in the next few months & know I still love you, ok?

The hottie I picked as a surf pick & mentioned that I was planning on getting her permission to make a desktop theme? Well she beat me to it… she read the review and sent me an email to give me the A-OK before I had the chance to beg grovel ask her.
