Oh no! My account is locked from ebay (again)!

How odd, considering I don’t have an ebay account as far as I know of. Yet, I get this email once a week!

Your account is locked from eBay
You have been locked from eBay because our records indicate your account was involved in activities that violate our policies.

If you feel you have been locked in error or want to appeal this decision by providing additional information, please contact us. *

An email regarding this was sent to you in your e-mail.
To confirm your unlock on file at eBay, just click the button below:
**

This will confirm to eBay that your account is working.

Sure it will!!!! LMAO!!!!

* Link to contact “ebay” goes to http:// www.singin-now.go.ro/come-to-become-an-power-seller in-respect-reconoscare-rewared.html

** Button image originates from http://www.geocities.com/syllvesttre/Questions/
And the link goes to http://sign.in.now.home.ro/eBayISAPIsigninebay.html

oooookay……
If at this point you don’t know what a phishing scam is, you’re hopeless.
And honestly, anyone who clicks on those links in their email *DESERVES* what happens to them. 🙁

  1. Agreed!
All one has to do it mouse over the link and the status bar at the bottom will show the real link. I forward these kinds of emails to ebay all the time.

  2. Yup!
And I see this on PayPal now.
“As part of our ongoing effort to enable PayPal users to protect themselves from spoof (fake) websites, we’ve developed Account Guard, a new feature on the eBay Toolbar that identifies when you are on an authentic eBay or PayPal website and warns you when you are on a potentially fraudulent website.

eBay Toolbar is a free, downloadable tool that will help protect your PayPal account.”

Download the eBay Toolbar with Account Guard now by visiting the toolbar page at http://www.ebay.com/ebay_toolbar.

    Sounds like a good idea!
I hope these Phishing scam artists do hard time in Club Fed! I hate them!

  3. Well -e- at least it wasn’t one of those e-mail messages telling you that the author is some heir to the fortune of a Ghanian King, and that if you send them your bank account you will be sharing a shit load of millions!

    How you doing dude?
