Opinions…

“Opinions are like assholes… everyone has one, and they all stank.”

Please don’t think this is directed at anyone. Actually it’s more like directed at EVERYONE (except you, of course).

I’m sick of opinions. I’m sick of blogs with opinions. I’m sick of blogs with opinions, where it’s so obvious that the writer is reaching some sort of epiphany with a lesson in life that they should have learned in their mid-20’s.

I try my very best here to tackle topics with satire, rather than express a point of view. There’s enough opinions on every subject in the world in blogland… I figure you need mine like a whole in the head.

What are your thoughts on opinions?
We’d like to know.

  1. Debates. I like debates.
Flame wars are nothing more than simply “heated debates”.
Someone needs to construct a “debate site”… guest bloggers forming “pro” & “con” teams…

Try and picture Michele & Cooties -vs- Me & Jon Sullivan on “War in Iraq”!

You people should have to PAY for that kind of entertainment!

    “Eric, you ignorant slut….” :0)

  2. Opinions are good. It sucks when people are so-called neutral to this and that. Being neutral just means you don’t know and don’t care to know a damn thing about the actual issue ;o)

  3. OK, Here’s my opinion: Opinions are good. It sucks when people are so-called neutral to this and that. Being neutral just means you don’t know and don’t care to know a damn thing about the actual issue ;o)

    (So there!)

  4. I have lots and lots of opinions. I just don’t delufde myself that 1) they are better or worse than anyone else’s and 2) anyone else gives a flying fuck.

However, I’m always happy to share them when asked, and occasionally when NOT asked. I’m good that way.

  5. Opinions are made to be attacked, tested, researched, rehashed, spun, frowned upon, perverted, dissed, dismissed, dittoed, and laughed at. If I dare opine on opinions, I would suggest it’s like a game of poker where everyone has a hand, but not everyone knows how to play.

  6. I don’t think it’s that people *don’t* have an opinion, on any given topic… sometimes (and I know I’m like this) people either don’t have enough information to make a well-informed opinion, or they’re “neutral” for business, friendship, or other purposes where “opening their mouths” may not suit thier best interests at the moment…

Believe me, I’ve run into a LOT of people like that (the latter)… and they have VERY STRONG opinions about any particular topic. Some things aren’t worth speaking out if your in those positions.
