HAW HAW! Oh forget anything I can say about that anorexic loon, Betty Bowers does it so much better!

Damn….
I’m home because there’s no power in East Stroudsburg. It’s been raining uncontrollably on and off for days and they’re closing the roads soon as we’re expecting massive flooding and more power outages.

And damn I’m up in the MOUNTAINS. What’s going on with you guys? (Of course I had to find a way to state “I’m above you”. I’m a prick that way.). What’s going on? It’s like all the CO2 emissions in the air is causing unpredictable weather and mother nature is getting ready to blow all humanity out of her nose like an infectious SNOT! Why isn’t anyone warning us? Why don’t they make a movie or something????

No, I’m not going to see the movie (though I hear it has rave reviews). Documentaries bore the shit out of me and I learned all about Global Warming and the Greenhouse Effect in school.

But I do have to laugh at the very same people who:

  • Believe life began in the Garden of Eden
  • Found a quack doctor to state that Terri Schaivo had a “chance at recovery”
  • Believe 9/11 was because God is pissed at gays and pagans…

… are calling *THIS* a “MYTH”!!! Despite seeing a killer tsunami and several deadly hurricanes the last few years.

HAW!!! HAWW!!! My irony meter is broken here….
Think God is going to swoop down and save mankind from its own stupidity again?
I wouldn’t.

We are so fucked. 😀

You know…

I really want to believe that these militants are a small minority in Islam. I really do.

Fact of the matter is, I *KNOW* no matter what I think of our current policies in the U.S…. No matter how idiotic I find the current administration in the White House…

I wouldn’t last five minutes in that region without someone wanting to make a video of my beheading. All for simply being an American.

Why should I give anyone a level of understanding or sympathy they would never give me?

Usually on this day, I can look all over the web and someone, somewhere is reshaping Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. into a supporter of their cause. You name it. He’s for/against the Iraq War, he’s suddenly a vegan and a card-carrying member of PETA, he’d join the fight for gay marriage.

Frankly, I doubt the last one. As a man of the cloth, I’d imagine his view of homosexuality would be very much the same as any religious figure… I *DO* see the parallels, and this is a matter of Civil Rights and equality… and even in his own words “Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere” ring true in this case.

Judge rules against ‘intelligent design’

‘Religious alternative’ to evolution cannot be taught in public school classes

HARRISBURG, Pa. – “Intelligent design” is “a religious alternative masquerading as a scientific theory” and cannot be mentioned in biology classes in a Pennsylvania public school district, a federal judge said Tuesday, ruling in one of the biggest courtroom clashes on evolution since the 1925 Scopes trial.

Dover Area School Board members violated the Constitution when they ordered that its biology curriculum must include the notion that life on Earth was produced by an unidentified intelligent cause, U.S. District Judge John E. Jones III said.

“We find that the secular purposes claimed by the Board amount to a pretext for the Board’s real purpose, which was to promote religion in the public school classroom,” he wrote in his 139-page opinion.

I’m sure all the atheists are jumping for joy right now. As a person who happens to believe in God AND Evolution, can I say something?

I wholeheartedly agree with this judge’s decision. This “Intelligent Design” garbage was merely a repackaged form of “Creationism”. It accepts the (two!) Biblical accounts of Creation without question, and with no scientific basis to back it up.

Virgin Marys gone WILD!

Well, you know… it didn’t quite look like the Virgin Mary. (Well, at least not any part of her body that we would normally see!) I was beginning to worry that maybe EVERYTHING looks like a woman’s vagina to me now.

It’s been so friggin’ long that I’m actually amazed that I remember what one looks like!
