WHUZZUP!

…Since I have neither (Everyone: “Awwwwwww”) there are some other great sites that have plenty of things to do…just want to warn you all ahead of time. That’s the way it is here.

I spent the week adding more listings to Gresser Realty, I also started work on Cindy Gresser’s Save-A-Dog project…it’s still under construction…..

I wasn’t sure when Father’s Day was this month, so I penned “Dear Dad ” today. For anyone who grew up without a father (or wished they did)…this one’s for you. Considering June 7th would have been my mom’s 75th birthday…it’s for her too. :0(

Friday’s here….and I’ll be totally honest, I didn’t do crap at this site. Just a lot of whining all over cyberspace to people that really didn’t want to hear it. I’m fine about it. Really. Weird fucking week for everyone I know.

Rather than set up one of those silly cameras, I figured I’d show you a few things I see out my window every day. Besides, I do a lot of “things” when I’m alone that I’d rather you don’t see (bet you really wanted to know that, huh?). This is the view overlooking the Pocono Mountains in Sierra View.

This is Charlie. He and his harum of does are in my backyard every morning. Carole and the kids can’t get enough of them. I can’t wait till October’s hunting season so I can say “BYE CHARLIE!”. Now before you say “Eric, you heartless bastard” (man, I miss my mom!)… please understand why I feel this way. Why Carole & the kids don’t hate them is beyond me.

You try to kill me and my family, I try to kill you back. Not a difficult concept when you think about it.

• BTW, Monday June 5th, is me & Carole’s 8th anniversary.
• It’s a Girl! Congratz to Kevin & Lynn O’Reilly. Brianna O’Reilly was born 5/31 at St. John’s Hospital in Queens. The O’Reilly’s are Sammi’s Godparents, if you’re that curious.

Ahhh…a three-day weekend where we honor those who gave their lives so we can enjoy those barbecues, teenage girls in bikinis, and the unofficial start of summertime!

R.I.P. Rockstar was redesigned – My true story as a struggling musician in NYC. Bring your Kleenex, a lot of people die in this one (no cats, unfortunately). And you all wonder why I’m a crazy suicidal bastard! :0) Ironically, this went up at the same time Zeldman writes “Web designers aren’t Rock Stars”… HEE HEE!

Finally finished the flash version of Jack Hammer X-treme – They should be happy campers.

I had really nasty message here for Fierce.Com, Joe Jennett, Chris Donahue, Glenn Davis and every other self-appointed judge of “what’s good and what’s garbage” on the web….

Thanks to CyberPal, Charles Santana, another former resident of the Bushwick section of Brooklyn, a man who really did something his life….I saw the error of my ways.

Charles & I didn’t get out of that hellhole of a neighborhood using our fists, guns or telling people to “step outside”…we got out of the ‘hood using our minds and using our talent. Just below this post is a birthday wish for my youngest daughter. I don’t want her to think of me in any way but her “hero”….

So instead I said my piece on MetaFilter yesterday.

Hopefully some young people out there can learn a lesson about anger & hostility… it only breeds more anger & hostility. Find your self-esteem, and channel the negativity into something positive. You guys are just as smart and just as talented as the rest of us.

My “Baby Girl” turns five today.

• Redesigned the site – Now everything is a nice uniform look, which was everyone’s major complaint. I also made an “About Me Page”; of course you can still read my “bitter version” anytime you want.
• Battle of the Digital Divas – Microsoft launched their own “Digital Diva” last month. Fine and good, but what about the original “Digital Divas”, who brought us “Grey Day”??? They’re furious and want it “Ceased & Desisted”…read all about it here!
• The rumors of my suicide isn’t 100% true. A lot of concerned friends (on and offline) have commented recently that I have sounded “Bitter” and “Mad at the World” lately. Well, I can’t talk about it right now, but yes, it’s been one fucking scary nightmare after another for The Tribe Called Brooks in the last few months… but I can honestly say there was a time where we all gave up hope and felt the only way out was in a body bag. I’m just now snapping out of a two-week state of depression.
• But hey, like all storms…they eventually subside, the sun shines, and a beautiful fucking rainbow streaks across the sky. Everyone out there who also feels like things are “out of whack”…HANG IN THERE! I see the light at the end of the tunnel for all of us…things can only get better. I’ll probably cover it all in my annual “Interview with Myself”
• Somewhere out in Ohio…Lenore Calderon turns 26. Happy Birthday cuz!

Just the way I always thought I’d go out…in style.

Don’t bother ratting me out to Carole …she knows all about it. In fact it was Carole. The Tribe called Brooks spent the night at TraveLodge in Tannersville Wednesday, because of the Lightning Storms all this week. Aaaanyway, to make a long story unbearable, I had a sit-down with her & her business parter, John Rose, the next day…and I am now officially an employee, and Erox Graphix is a subsidiary of Do It Right Construction….I am titled their “Creative Director”; handling ads, promos, a state-of-the-art computerized presentation, and their forthcoming website….best of all, telling freelance clients to “FUCK OFF!!!!!”

Equipment failure in ICOM’s Atlanta facility caused this site (Plus Gresser, Reis Homes, Jack Hammer, etc) to go down for a day or so…. well, apparently we’re back. The above mentioned sites aren’t the only ones suffering. Server outages are happening everywhere. Check out JZ’s: Building on Sand. I like to think of it as the “State of the Web Address”.

• Fight Tha Power! – Chuck D -vs- Lars Ulrich tonite about Napster. You KNOW, who “Tha Boy from Bushwick” is rooting for…. Chuck D is a college graduate & a savvy business man. It’s gonna be a SLAUGHTER! heh heh….Peep Chuck’s Public Enemy and Bring in the Noise websites… they’re PHAT y’all!* For all of “Selloutica’s” Former fans…
• Halcyon! – Took the Webby for best personal site! It’s like we ALL won a webby! YOU ROCK BRO! I’m now inspired to wipe out everything on my site and just post pics of my flabby, nekkid ass all over. Just the horror and causing people to lose their lunch will make me a shoe-in for next year’s Webbys.
• The Weblogs Strike Back – Not that I was expecting the weblog community to greet me with open arms. ironically, they agreed with most of it… and then accused me of “holding back” like I did with most of the “blogs” I trashed.Well, it was never my intention to make enemies with this…. it was a SPOOF, a SATIRE! However the page has gone through some re-writes, and expect a sequel… you little marys asked for it, now…..
