- Goodbye Mommy – Jeffrey Zeldman heartbreakingly struggles and seeks closure with his mom’s condition. She’s had Alzheimers for a number of years now. I can tell you from lots of good folks I’ve had to watch endure this… You don’t know what pain is, until the woman who has brought you into the world looks at you like you’re a total stranger. And you can’t do a damn thing about it. It’s like a part of you has been erased, in the cruelest practical joke nature has yet to fling at us.
