Why does this always have to happen on a major holiday weekend? Apparently there is a problem with the server’s SendMail program.

Why should you care? – If you send out a Valentine Card from this site, they may not get it until late tomorrow…or six months from now…this also applies to any of my QuikForms, confirmation from my Guestbooks…and any of my other cgi-driven programs that require mail to be sent out. The stuff works, just all of the mail will sit in the queue…until it’s fixed.

So Please, I don’t want to be the cause of a break up….keep checking here for updates to see if the mail is running again.

Well, change is totally complete…check out the newly revamped Erox Graphix™…all straight-laced business, all of the time! And well, it makes no sense to have a “Personal section” on a personal site, does it???…so the personal section has been changed to “The Best Of Eric Brooks” (hey, two years worth of stuff, I think I’m entitled to a “Greatest Hits” page!).

• I saw my very first “White Christmas” this year in the Poconos. It was all I ever wanted. (Not that I don’t appreciate the Magic 8 Ball and the Zip Disks!) I can die now…

• The Mall & Chatroom are GONE! FINITO! HISTORY! I never made a dime with my affiliate programs (though I know people who have bought through my site…IT’S A SCAM FOLKS! LIKE THE LINK EXCHANGE (have you ever seen your banner on another site?)!!!!!!
• I spent all day December 29th fixing CGI scripts on 12 different sites, including this one. Certain CGI scripts run on 2 digit years and are now reading the date as “1900“….not devastating, but embarrassing as hell….Some Web Designers and the sites they were paid to design are going to look reeeeal bad this week. I could tell them about it, and save their sorry asses….

  And just why would I want to do that?????? BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

KUDOS to EToy Agent Zai making it clear in Wired News yesterday, that Etoy appreciates the well-meaning offers from hackers, but want to win the “etoy war” with protests, press conferences and in court…in a word: LEGALLY.

There is nothing more powerful than martyrs and sympathy….and that’s why so many people are behind them! They stand a good chance of their site being returned to them on December 27th, criminal activity will only make it worse.

By the way eToys stock has plummeted to $37.56 per share. The LA Times has no idea why…

Wired News reports today that celebrities and major Internet businesses are rallying behind etoy. In fact, we’re all invited to a Press Conference Monday at the Museum of Modern Art (11 West 53rd St.) in New York City, at 6:30 PM. I’ll be there in spirit as our car broke down Wednesday….

Speaking of which…it’s been a very weird week. The night the car broke down, we were on route to Christina’s Christmas performance at school. Carole was planning on picking up all of our layaways at the department store on the way back…

The next day, she called about the layaways and was informed by a clerk that all of our Christmas gifts have been returned to the shelves and the money can’t be returned until December 26th….

This year, Christmas will come a little late for the Brooks kids…they’re going to learn that Christmas is about family, togetherness, and an empty tree…a perfect end for a fucked-up, almost surreal week….

No Holiday Fun!!! Since the whole eToys fiasco has begun, their stock plummeted from $67 to a low of $45 per share on Friday. One financial site’s indicators are all screaming “SELL“ all the way down the page… ZDNet’s Interactive week reported underground plans to drive eToys stocks down to “$0” with “Sit-Ins” and full-scale Hacker Cyber-Attacks…
