My “Baby Girl” turns five today.

• Redesigned the site – Now everything is a nice uniform look, which was everyone’s major complaint. I also made an “About Me Page”; of course you can still read my “bitter version” anytime you want.
• Battle of the Digital Divas – Microsoft launched their own “Digital Diva” last month. Fine and good, but what about the original “Digital Divas”, who brought us “Grey Day”??? They’re furious and want it “Ceased & Desisted”…read all about it here!
• The rumors of my suicide isn’t 100% true. A lot of concerned friends (on and offline) have commented recently that I have sounded “Bitter” and “Mad at the World” lately. Well, I can’t talk about it right now, but yes, it’s been one fucking scary nightmare after another for The Tribe Called Brooks in the last few months… but I can honestly say there was a time where we all gave up hope and felt the only way out was in a body bag. I’m just now snapping out of a two-week state of depression.
• But hey, like all storms…they eventually subside, the sun shines, and a beautiful fucking rainbow streaks across the sky. Everyone out there who also feels like things are “out of whack”…HANG IN THERE! I see the light at the end of the tunnel for all of us…things can only get better. I’ll probably cover it all in my annual “Interview with Myself”
• Somewhere out in Ohio…Lenore Calderon turns 26. Happy Birthday cuz!

Just the way I always thought I’d go out…in style.

Don’t bother ratting me out to Carole …she knows all about it. In fact it was Carole. The Tribe called Brooks spent the night at TraveLodge in Tannersville Wednesday, because of the Lightning Storms all this week. Aaaanyway, to make a long story unbearable, I had a sit-down with her & her business parter, John Rose, the next day…and I am now officially an employee, and Erox Graphix is a subsidiary of Do It Right Construction….I am titled their “Creative Director”; handling ads, promos, a state-of-the-art computerized presentation, and their forthcoming website….best of all, telling freelance clients to “FUCK OFF!!!!!”

Equipment failure in ICOM’s Atlanta facility caused this site (Plus Gresser, Reis Homes, Jack Hammer, etc) to go down for a day or so…. well, apparently we’re back. The above mentioned sites aren’t the only ones suffering. Server outages are happening everywhere. Check out JZ’s: Building on Sand. I like to think of it as the “State of the Web Address”.

• Fight Tha Power! – Chuck D -vs- Lars Ulrich tonite about Napster. You KNOW, who “Tha Boy from Bushwick” is rooting for…. Chuck D is a college graduate & a savvy business man. It’s gonna be a SLAUGHTER! heh heh….Peep Chuck’s Public Enemy and Bring in the Noise websites… they’re PHAT y’all!* For all of “Selloutica’s” Former fans…
• Halcyon! – Took the Webby for best personal site! It’s like we ALL won a webby! YOU ROCK BRO! I’m now inspired to wipe out everything on my site and just post pics of my flabby, nekkid ass all over. Just the horror and causing people to lose their lunch will make me a shoe-in for next year’s Webbys.
• The Weblogs Strike Back – Not that I was expecting the weblog community to greet me with open arms. ironically, they agreed with most of it… and then accused me of “holding back” like I did with most of the “blogs” I trashed.Well, it was never my intention to make enemies with this…. it was a SPOOF, a SATIRE! However the page has gone through some re-writes, and expect a sequel… you little marys asked for it, now…..

My son turns 3 today. He’d LOVE a Batman e-Card if you can find one…

A lot of resentment going on at MetaFilter toward the so-called “Web Celebs” out there… not that I think the “superstars” are picking up on it….but I can feel it in some of the words they say when they post. We ALL bust our asses to make websites (that includes some elderly woman pouring out her life stories on Geocities). We all want recognition. Hell, we all deserve it.

My first rant/commentary since the December 1999 etoy/etoys saga:

“Shut The F*ck Up!!! (Death to the weblog)” awaiting your nasty emails at SoapBox.

The Webmistress can take a joke. Zeldman can take a joke. Hell, I was portrayed as a
Jack Nicholson/Bi-polar type for this today…so I can take a joke. (uh…I think JZ was kidding…)

Can YOU take a deep look inside and laugh?

BTW… WHUZZUPDATE, is NOT a weblog. Don’t make me try to explain this and expose my homophobic inner-child, okay? I’m making enough enemies aaaaaall by myself!

Maybe I’m a “closet fan” of the weblog…. who knows?

Two words: PLAYED OUT
Sean, Chris & Tom, it’s been a blast being a mirror site for the “Elian_true” parody for a week… but, well. Let’s face it; as funny as it was (the first 47 times I saw it)… this sucker has died of overexposure!

You won a bittersweet victory against a tyrannical legal department. I had 25 million hits to my site this week (well, I can’t exactly prove that, since my counter is set to crash at 24.9 million…just take my word for it ok?)

I look forward to this being achived at Newgrounds and Sixsite one day as an “internet classic”…but for now? GROAN!
