trfcp468x60.gifPosting will be few and far between for a while. I’m going to skip sending out a WHUZZUPDATE! this month and shoot for an all-out holiday spectacular in December: Featuring strippers, booze and Bible study…. YEAH!

Quick reminder: Sales of the CD goes to help PATH (Pocono Area Transitional Housing), a non-profit organization which helps homeless families with children find a place to live, provides temporary shelter, and gets them back on their feet again.

If you’re going to do one good deed for the holidays, please consider them. You can also donate a dollar or two at their site via PayPal, and every little bit helps. THANKS!

Murdering cranky neighbors now legal in Galveston

Durst not guilty in neighbor’s murder

I knew something was up when the jurors were taking too long to deliberate.

Sure he admitted to killing Morris Black, and chopping up his body in a blind panic…

Obviously this was a case of a very cocky prosecutor’s office, who was sure they were getting him on 1st degree murder and didn’t bother charging him with anything else.

Johnny Cochran, Robert Shapiro and O.J. Simpson were unavailable for comment at the time of this post.

However, with the strange disappearance of his wife in 1982, and being a suspect of two murders in California… I somehow don’t think we’ll be hearing the last of Robert Durst.

God, I hope he doesn’t move to the Poconos.
I sleep with one eye open as it is.

Coming soon: The CyberPal Store!

Stress-Man coffee mugYou know you want one.
Admit it.

Stress-Man Coffee Mug ($10.99)

I figured for the holiday season, I would follow in the footsteps of my spiritual leader, Reverend Mykeru and open up my own CafePress store:

EricBrooks.Com Stuff! (or “The CyberPal Store”). I don’t know, I’m still tossed. Maybe both.

Merry Christmas!

Yeah, yeah… I know I’m a little behind the times.

(Well, at least in the advertising world, I am. Usually, they have all of their Holiday ads and promotions done by mid-July.)

The Reasons for Christmas Project – Still a work in progress. There’s going to be a major media blitz FROM State Rep. Kelly Lewis’ office any day now, so I’m working day and night to get this sucker out the door with the help of his aide Jon Jorgenson (who’s one cool mofo, I gotta tell you…. and I’m not just saying that because he visits my site, and is most likely reading this.) :0)

Of course the main objective of the site is to raise funds and awareness of PATH (Pocono Area Transitional Housing).

An all-star lineup of world-class musicians FROM the Poconos recorded the CD (We already covered Bob Dorough here. Did you know Phil Woods was the saxophone player on Billy Joel’s “Just The Way You Are”? And he’s won several grammys for his jazz recordings? Neither did I. Well, I’m an moron… what’s YOUR excuse?)

Hardest working man in Web Bidness

Man… I don’t know how James Brown does it, but I am FRIGGIN EXHAUSTED!!!

No newsletter this month. Too busy.

  • With all of the Hype of the Durst trial, Matt Birkbeck was on Court TV, and needed the Deadly Secret site spruced up, and really hyping the book being out on paperback now.

    Dial "D" for "Durst"

He kinda looks like "Mr. Roper" in this pic, doesn't he?
Murder defendant Robert Durst has a light moment during a break in his trial in Galveston, Texas, Monday, Sept. 22, 2003. Durst is accused of killing his neighbor Morris Black, then dismembering the body and throwing body pieces INTO Galveston Bay in September 2001. (AP Photo/LM Otero)

I’ve been getting a lot of search engine activity on “ROBERT DURST” lately. Of course it’s no small wonder as it’s front page news in NYC, PA and Texas. For the loose stragglers on the web, let me get you up to speed:

    • The Case of Robert Durst – Galveston Daily News
    • Attorneys: Durst Killed Out of Fear – Associated Press
    • All about millionaire murderer Robert Durst – Crime Library

Readers Digest version: After his wife’s disappearance, Millionaire New York Real Estate heir Robert Durst flees the unwanted media attention, posing himself as a mute elderly woman. Becomes a suspect as neighbor Morris Black’s body parts are found floating in Galveston Bay. After jumping bail, Durst is arrested for shoplifting in Pennsylvania six weeks later.

Matt Birkbeck: A deadly ecret A Deadly Secret: The strange disappearance of Kathie Durst – By Matt Birkbeck – Former Pocono Record Columnist untangles this intriguing tale for People Magazine. It takes place 20 years before Black’s murder, and I recommend the book highly for some insight to Robert Durst and what started it all… It’s also been uncovered on the site that more murders in Northern California is being investigated with ties to Durst. The plot sickens.

… and I’m not saying all this and plugging the book just because I was part of the design team who put the site together for Matt.

I’m proud to be a part of it all.

Uhm, I meant the web project, not the murders… you knew that’s what I meant, right?

    Stress-Man hits the big time

I use mascots all over my site. They host different sections here.

Bozilla the Clown makes a cameo here every once in a while and will host my 3D Theatre one of these days. The heavy metal goddess, Randi can be found in my newsletter section. And you see my main dude, CyberPal all over the site.

Donate to the Pennsylvania Music Foundation

    Not a bad week…

I’m half way through all the registration modules, and the Pennsylvania Music Awards got an endorsement FROM State Representative Kelly Lewis.

birthdayboykai.jpgOh, and btw, today is Johnny Kai’s birthday. If I haven’t mentioned it lately, he’s not only one of the headlining entertainers at Tamiment, he’s also the mastermind behind the PA and Hawaiian Music awards…
