Did any one else’s referrer logs go nuts as Zeldman declared “Happy Friday” on K10K.net, and wrote a list of sites he was grateful for????

Holy crap, and just how much traffic does k10k get anyway?!!???

A very pleasant surprise as I was one of the many sites plugged on Friday, and I wanted to thank The Great One sooner, but I have been so damn busy.

Launched a new site with the Pocono Record’s new webhosting service, The Bridal Guide went live to the public, and I had to tweak/rewrite a few CGI scripts for the database-driven Scholastic Sports, Eastern Poconos Community News and the Pocono Property Showcase that premiered this morning.

And that was just Friday.

Today, I was slaving away at redesigning a very talented actresses’ site (details to follow).

Thankz Z-Man!!!! Your plug was most appreciated and a great topper for an excellent week!

Well… for what it’s worth, it seemed like you and the now, long-gone Webmistress Jo tried to keep Astounding Websites together for the longest time.

Not Davis…you guys.

Anybody that was there knows it.

Sometimes it seemed like you were commissioned to bail out the Titanic with the Styrofoam cups that the “Great Galactic Emperor” handed you.

In my humble opinion, Astounding Websites lost its novelty just a few weeks into it. Quite honestly, I checked in AW mainly for the discussion. The “NAG” section was the best… not that there was anything wrong with the reviews (except maybe an extreme bias against the “commercial”), It’s just that most of them really didn’t float my boat, and I didn’t even bother to even check the reviews after a while.

Don’t him get you down, big guy. And when you get your new project rolling, you can count on the gOdOfMiScHiEf for full support.

Y’know… back in prehistoric times (circa 1998) Glen Davis *was* somebody…. almost a force to be reckoned with. These days, he comes off like a has-been, aging child star whose 15 minutes are up. Why can’t I be as eloquent as Jon??? He put it best here, almost a year ago….

Three days in a row… The Pocono Record has been sold out at newsstands. My phone has been ringing off the hook from homeowners looking for this article, and that article online….

Yesterday, managing editor Bill Watson came to me: “Eric, do you think we can make a ‘Special Report’ section for Matt’s exposes?
Matt Birkbeck’s 8-page series A price TOO HIGH…. goes live to the public at 3AM today.

Today was a very good day to come to work….

I have the pleasure of making sure Matt Birkbeck’s Sunday expose went up, in it’s entirety, without a hitch. It’s the story of a man named Hugh Robinson , who is on the verge of losing his home to forclosure as a victim of “predatory lending” and bloated appraisals. An all-too-common practice with the home builders in the Monroe County….

Sounds like anyone you know?

This story is aready blowing the lid off the Poconos… by Monday the D.A.’s office will be pandemonium!

New Look… new attitude

I’m busy redesigning this site… go away. While I’m toiling away for the next week or so, (plans include rotating banners of friend’s sites, email lists of the updates here, database-driven download sections, the death of a weblog…blah blah blah) here’s what YOU can be doing:

  • Creating a 274 x 60 banner of your site for rotation throughout the site for added exposure and hits…. (don’t kid yourself, some parts of my site are clocking almost 3,000 hits per day) 
  • Sending an E-Card to a buddy from the Easter Bunny/Passover Rabbit…
  • NOT sending me E-mails telling me I suck, and then write back with your URL asking me what I think of it… I mean, come on… what do you *THINK* I’m gonna fire back with…??!!?? SHEESH! (Where do these morons find me??? Is my “nut-magnet” back on???)

    • While continuing the meme of nostalgia and blogiversaries… Archaeologists have uncovered the earliest version of WHUZZUP! on the web, and it turns out that WHUZZUP! is three years old this month….. really.
    PS: I should warn you ahead of time, my old domain www.eroxgraphix.com was recently taken over by CyberPorn.Org… :0)

A small but pivotal role, and I have no idea who it’s patterned after…. do you?It pays to have connected friends you can harass by phone and emails until they make a few calls…..
