Uhm… ok, maybe a little bit of smoke and mirrors were involved.
I ended up buying Stan “The Man” Lee on MySpace’s “Own Your Friends” game, and changed his status message to advertise for me. (Cost me half a million bucks too!).
But hey, it has the potential of being seen by almost 300 million users every day… so it’s a good thing.
He’d endorse me if he knew me anyway… right?

All this time I thought they hated Michael Moore for his anti-gun “Bowling for Columbine” and his anti-war “Fahrenheit 9/11“, and his pro-socialized medicine “Sicko“.
Well, get this, according to Alex “The New World Order is Coming!!!” Jones, Michael Moore is part of the conspiracy to “Help President Bush cover up his crimes” by not doing enough to uncover the “911 Truth”, and candy coats it by making Bush look like an idiot that can’t string a coherent sentence together with an administration of incompetents.
No. Really. See for yourself…
Have you seen his Alex Joneses new movie, Endgame yet? OMFG!!! He seems to pull the same tactic he does with Moore in the clip above. For two hours you can sit there and watch him stand outside a Bilderberg conference, go “what are they talking about in there?”, and then fill in the gaps with absurd conspiracy theories where only the weak-minded can possibly swallow this bullshit.
All this time, I thought “Farenheit 911” simply wanted to explain to the public how we went from 9/11 to Afghanistan to a war with a country that had nothing to so with it, at a time when 70% of the public was CONVINCED Saddam Hussein was involved.
One step at a time, conspiracy man… you still haven’t convinced me that David Rockefeller wants to destroy 80% of the world, eliminate the United States, form the North American Union and live forever when he looks like he’s going to keel over any day now!
On the plus side, according to him, the NWO has already “ordained” Hillary Clinton as the next President of the United States of Amer North American Union… thereby saving me the trouble of standing in line for three hours next year voting for her.
Well all you Right Wing pundits that pretended to hate Michael Moore while he secretly served our Overlords in the New World Order…

Anyone can be a tough-talking internet badass. Making threats and intimidating people in blog comments and message boards. You see it all the time with the 101st Fighting Keyboarders. All you need is a big mouth, a screenname and some anonymous surfing program. Taking a stand while hiding behind a BIG wall of anonymity?

Now when you put your REAL NAME out there. Your reputation and business on the line? That’s balls!
The big news this week was the thousands of people revolting on Digg over posts regarding the DVD HD encryption code being posted as they removed it and banned the members.
Then, Digg founder Kevin Rose surprised everyone by blogging about it and posting the encryption code!
It’s not about the encryption code anymore. It’s become a symbolic fight against censorship and those companies and corporate bullies we love to hate…
…but with a catch, do you support piracy?
It’s a false dilemma. Choosing the lesser of two evils when you have a 3rd hidden option.
I support people trying to protect their intellectual property. I also oppose some of the ridiculous laws and corporate bullying going on by the AACS, RIAA, MPAA and any other DRM group. A lot more than I oppose piracy, but not enough to condone one evil over another.
So I present you another false dilemma:
You’re in a street fight. You opponent is way bigger than you. What do you do?
a) Don’t back down and get your ass kicked.
b) Run away and look like a wuss in front of everyone.
BZZT! BOTH WRONG! The answer is….
c) You hire an even BIGGER MOTHERFUCKER to take down your opponent.
(Do I have to do ALL the thinking for you?)
The Tiki Lounge has a great discussion about it, as well as Problem Adults. If you support Digg and Kevin Rose and the stand they’re taking, rather than stand there chanting “Fight! Fight! Fight!”, you can help him by keeping this issue in the spotlight and by supporting the Electronic Frontier Foundation.
They’re bigger. They’re badder and they take on these kinds of censorship cases all the time. Join the EFF and give till it hurts.
I have nothing against hunters. But I think “drunken hunter mishaps” are the funniest!
